Guides

Four pages, that is all it takes. If you have only just created an account, start at the top. If something specific is bothering you, jump straight to the pitfalls — the most common questions are answered there.

First steps

From the account to your first own position — in five steps, with what you should see on the screen each time.

How it works

How do I …? — to watch

The question on the left, the pointer shows it on the right in the real terminal. For the bots the bot setup also has “👉 Show me”: a tour that guides you question by question.

Where do I start?

If you have never traded with leverage, the order matters more than the pace. A suggestion that has proven itself:

1 · Watch first, then click
Open a chart and let it run for a while. Switch through a few timeframes. You should get a feel for how far a price moves in an hour — that is the size that matters later with leverage.
2 · A position without leverage
Open the first position with 1× leverage. Then one percent of price movement equals exactly one percent of your stake. Leave it open overnight and look at it tomorrow. No leverage, no time pressure, no liquidation.
3 · Set target and stop
The same position once more, this time with target and stop. Check whether they close while you are not even at the computer — that is exactly what they are for. Afterwards you know that the safety nets work.
4 · Leverage step by step
Only now 2×, then 5×. Work out beforehand how far the price may run against you: at 5× it is 20 %, at 20× only 5 %. The risk calculator on the home page does that for you.
5 · Only then a bot
A bot does the same as you, only faster and without hesitating. Anyone who has not understood the mechanics by hand cannot judge whether the bot is doing something sensible either. Start with a demo bot and let it run for a few weeks before you judge it.
Everything here is simulation. No real money, no payment details. You cannot break anything and can reset your account to the starting balance at any time.

Quick questions

Does it cost anything, is it real money, which exchanges — that is answered briefly in the frequently asked questions.

Which bot suits

Seven profiles with strengths and weaknesses are in the bot overview — this is only about operating them.

What a backtest is worth

The honest assessment is on the page about Backtest & optimizer. Read it before you take over a Top 50 row.
