Dynamic Grid Rising market DEMO ONLY

A grid bot whose net comes along. When the price rises above the top line, everything is sold — then the net moves up, at no cost, because nothing is open. If the price falls below the net, further nets can open directly below.

How the bot thinksDiagram

How it works

The net moves with the price
As with the Grid, it buys at lines below the price and sells one line higher. If the price runs out of the top of the net, the net follows — by a step of 1 to 100 % of its width. The spacing stays the same in percent: even after a tenfold rise, every round stays above its costs.
Tiered nets below
If the price falls below the net, a second net of the same width opens immediately directly below, without overlap — up to nine. When the price comes back, they close as soon as the net above trades again. Net 1 only moves again when no net below it is open.
Long, short, neutral
Long moves up, short mirrors it downward. Neutral trades long below the start price and short above — when moving, it closes the open side, often at a loss. That is why the setup warns against it.
Whole contracts
As on the exchange, each line only buys whole contracts. If a line's money is not enough for one, the net stops moving — the setup and the backtest tell you from which price that is the case.

Study

Tested on the large coins

Twelve large coins, $2,000 each, leverage 1, costs as live, whole contracts, liquidation by the exchange's rule. Tested in a learning period and, separately, in a test period.

All twelve togetherLearning period 2020 – 2023Test period 2024 – 10/2026Liquidations
With three tiered nets+23.270 $+5.543 $0
One net, the same money+7.744 $+2.407 $0

What it is built for

  • Large coins that rise over the years and swing along the way
  • When a fixed net cannot follow the price upward
  • With leverage 1: a long tier cannot be liquidated then

When it does not work

  • Smaller coins. On 102 further coins, prices fell by a median of 81 % in the test period — it lost there too.
  • Leverage above 1. With leverage 3, every one of the twelve large coins would have been liquidated in the study as soon as all nets were bought after a rally.
  • After the peak. A net that follows a rally holds all its lines in the crash. That is its risk, not a calculation error.

The last twelve months were weaker: with the “Wide” preset and three tiered nets it held up on only 5 of 12 large coins. The recordings below show the setup's verdict as it came out.

A backtest is not a promise. The figures describe the past. So far the Dynamic Grid only runs in the demo account — demo bots have been testing it going forward since October.
Step by step

How to set it up

Real recordings from the bot setup — beginner, demo account. Logged in, you see the detailed version with every field and tips.

  1. 1Choose a bot

Dynamic Grid — the net moves with the price

Click the robot button at the top, then pick this bot in the bot window.

  2. 2Question 1 · What to trade?

    Coin and type

Pick a coin, plus long, short or neutral. It held up on the large coins.

  3. 3Question 2 · How much?

Splitting the money between the net and the tiers

Own margin, leverage, extra margin — below it the setup calculates volume, liquidation and committed money.

  4. 4Question 3 · How to trade?

    Net, moving, tiers

The net as with the Grid, plus the step when moving and, if you like, tiered nets below.

  5. 5Question 4 · When to get out?

    Profit target and loss limit

As with the Grid: profit target and loss limit for the whole bot.

  6. 6Question 5 · Test first

One click runs all the numbers

Pick a period, then one button calculates fact sheet, backtest and basket — with costs as measured live.

  7. 7The verdict

One sentence that tells you where things stand

At the top one sentence: does the setting hold or not. Below it the fact sheet with all the numbers.

  8. 8The basket

The same setting on twelve coins

If it only works on one market, you will see it here — before real money is involved.

  9. 9Question 6 · Start

You start exactly what was tested

As a demo bot with play money — or live through your own exchange keys, with confirmation, emergency stop and limits.
